
JVFA President Utsuda Syoei suggests to sign a Cooperation Agreement between JVFA in Japan and Vietnam
Mr Utsuda Syoei thanks Minister Dinh La Thang for the meeting and inform the Minister about the Association and its missions. The Association was established in the 1960s with the main mission to consult the Japanese Governement about activities related to Vietnam. The Association also provides supports and advises for the Ambassador of Vietnam to Japan and takes part in many activities related to Vietnam and Japan with the aim of developing the associations between the two countries in various fields including culture, education, healthcare and human resources.
Mr Utsuda Syoei invites Minister Dinh La Thang to take part and give a speech at the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of JVFA in Japan on 26/11/2015. On this ocassion, Mr Utsuda Syoei also suggests to sign a Cooperation Agreement between the JVFA Japan and Vietnam.

At the meeting, Minister Dinh La Thang shares his view regarding the relationships between the two countries. “Frequent exchange of high-level visits in general, and the current official visit of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in particular, show the special importance of Japan with regard to Vietnam international cooperation and relation policy. In the meeting between General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the two leaders once again confirm the special importance relationship between the two countries, and hope to further develop and nurture the friendship more firmly. It is impossible to ignore the important roles of various organizations and associations, inclusive of JVFA, in establishing the close connection between the two countries throughout the years”. Minister Dinh La Thang also says that the mission of the JVFA is to encourage transnational links between the two countries both economically and socially. On that basis, the Minister hopes that the JVFA continues to share the knowledge and experience to both sides to amplify the association’s organizational effectiveness as well as maximize the members’ benefits.

The Minister also thanks Mr Utsuda Syoei for the invitation to the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of JVFA in Japan. Unfortunately, the Vietnam National Assembly will be held around that time, the Minister will try his best and will make sure that at least he will send delegates to take part in the Anniversary. The Minister also expresses his supports for the idea of signing a Cooperation Agreement between the JVFA in Japan and in Vietnam and hopes that the Agreement would further improve and diversify the integration between the two.
Mr Utsuda Syoei thanks Minister Dinh La Thang and promise to make plan for the signing in the nearest future.
The JVFA in Japan was established on 26/11/1965 under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The association often orgranizes events to present business opportunities for Vietnamese and Japanese entrepreneurs, introduce Vietnamese culture, socio-economics and education to Japan, provide investment consultant, and help organize research about Vietnam, etc. The members of JFVA are the large enterprises and corporations in Japan. Therefore, apart from encouraging civil integrations between Japan and Vietnam, the association is also keen on promoting investment and creating links between Japan and Vietnam entrepreneurs. The former JVFA presidents include the former Governor of the Central Bank of Japan, the former Ministers of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Construction and the CEO of Toyota. The current JVFA’s president is Mr Utsuda Syoei, CEO of Mitsui. |
