Since President Ho Chi Minh signed the Decision to establish the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (28 August 1945), Viet Nam Transport Sector has gone through nearly 70 years of existence and development, associated to the National Revolution with the exciting and fascinating periods.

When alive, President Ho Chi Minh said: "Traffic is the lifeblood of the organization. If traffic is good, everything is easily. If traffic is bad, everything is stalled ". His simple statement not only emphasizes the important role of transport in the building and protection of the Nation, but also to be a reminder to whom work in Transport sector in the past, present and the future. It is said that during the history of foundation, development and growth of transport sector, all the generation of officials, workers and employees have always followed the advice of Uncle Ho, have always striven to importantly contribute in the struggle for national liberation, national building and protection.
