Deputy Minister Nguyen Hong Truong received British business delegations
Welcoming the Delegations to Vietnam, the Deputy Minister Nguyen Hong Truong sincerely thanked them for paying attention to the transport sector. The Deputy Minister introduced the overview of the industry, major projects which are calling for foreign and domestic investment, new points in the investment policies of the Vietnam Government with open conditions for businesses, including foreign businesses. He also expressed his wish to encourage big enterprises in the world, including British companies to be interested, research and invest in the fields of airports, seaports, high-speed railway, highway ..., with major projects such as Long Thanh international airport, urban railway projects in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, north - south high-speed railway, the seaport and shipbuilding sector.

The British Business Delegations also shared with the Deputy Minister the experience in building, developing and managing infrastructure in the UK, particularly the British transport infrastructure is modern, effectively exploited. Mr. Nick Archer said that not only the UK's leading enterprises are sitting here, but also the UK Government is very interested and willing to cooperate to help Vietnam develop transport infrastructure. They clearly expressed their interest in the PPP investment policy of Vietnam and said that they are willing to support MOT in training and capacity building in PPP project management through the introducing studying of the major works and projects in the UK.
The Deputy Minister Nguyen Hong Truong thanked for their goodwill cooperation and said that today developing infrastructure is identified by the Government of Vietnam as one of the three breakthroughs to develop the country with many preferential policies. After the meeting today, the MOT will have plans for businesses from both sides to meet and exchange more details in order to reach specific, efficienct cooperation activities in the future.
