
Minister Truong Quang Nghia meets the Chief Representative of Taisei Group in Vietnam
Mr. Taiji Yanai, Chief Representative of Taisei Group in Vietnam said, after the project upgrading Nation way No.5, the Taisei directly involved in many projects managed by the Ministry of Transport as the Can Tho bridge construction project, the Tan Son Nhat airport international passenger terminal construction project, the T2 international passenger terminal (Noi Bai airport) construction project, renovating and upgrading railway bridge... On this basis, the Taisei Group wants to continue to participate in the projects managed directly by the Ministry of Transport, particularly projects use Japan’s ODA capital, namely the Long Thanh international airport construction project, railway bridge project through the Hai Van tunnel.
At the meeting, Minister Truong Quang Nghia emphasized, in the process of cooperation between the two countries Vietnam and Japan has put the friendship between the two countries increasingly close and tight. In which, a lot of Japan's ODA capital put into Vietnam in the transport field and this is an important capital to promote the development of Vietnam’s transport infrastructure.
“Presently, Vietnam expected capital to continue investing in transport infrastructure. However, the capital sources is very limited, so we are looking for potential cooperation by the public – private partner form (PPP)”, Minister Truong Quang Nghia said.
On that basis, the Minister expected, the Taisei will participate in the Vietnam’s projects as investor for infrastructure. In addition, as Chairman of the Japanese enterprises Association in Vietnam, the Minister also expects Mr. Yanai Taiji through the Association activities to called for investors to participate in infrastructure projects in Vietnam.
