Minister Truong Quang Nghia met with the Ambassador of Indonesia to Viet Nam
During the meeting, Minister Truong Quang Nghia congratulated H.E Mr. Ibnu Hadi on his new term in Viet Nam and wish the Ambassador to accomplish his duty as well as to be the connecting bridge for the coopeartive relationship between Viet Nam and Indonesia. Minister expresses his gladness for achievements of the Viet Nam – Indonesia relationship earned for 60 years of diplomatic relationship, and especially since the strategic partnership was established in June 2013.
Ambassador Hadi also congratulated Minister Nghia for his appointment as the Minister of Transprot of Viet Nam and hoped that the cooperation among ASEAN countries in general and Viet Nam – Indonesia bilateral relations would be further developed. The Ambassador affirmed that his most important duty in Viet Nam was to enhance the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
With regards to civil aviation sector, Minister Nghia and Ambassador Hadi highly appreciated airlines of the two countries in maintaning and developing the operation of Ho Chi Minh City – Jakarta direct flight and agreed the improtance of the direct flight connecting the Capitals of the two countries.
In order to facilitate carriers of the two countries to study on opening Ha Noi – Jakartar direct flights, Minister Nghia proposed the Civil Aviation Authorities of Viet Nam and Indonesia to discuss on the supplementary of regulations on code share into the Air Services Agreement between the two Governments. Ambassador Hadi agreed to support the Vietnamese side to arrange a meeting with Civil Aviation Authority of Indonesia to discuss on this issues.
Also at the meeting, Ambassador Hadi conveyed the invitation of the Minister of Transport of Indonesia extended to Minister Truong Quang Nghia to attend the Conference on Civil Aviation in Developing Countries to be held in Bali, Indonesia from 30th – 31st May 2016. Minister Nghia expressed his sincere thanks to the Minister of Transport of Indoesia for the kind invitation and his regret of unavailability to attend the event due to earlier plan. He also informed that he as authorized the Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam to participate in the Conference.
